Turkey: the exotic destination where East meets West, on the
Aegean coast...
The Aegean shores of Turkey are among the most captivating landscapes in
the country. The magnificent coastline, lapped by the clear waters of the
Aegean Sea, abounds in vast and pristine beaches surrounded by olive
groves, rocky crags and pine woods.
Itinerary - Yoga Holidays In Turkey
27th
June - 4th July and 12th September - 19th September 2008
Morning Yoga sessions will focus on balancing and freeing energy flow
through the chakras and subtle body to
stimulate a feeling of well-being and regenerate inner glow. These
sessions will be followed by cooked lunch served on the Terrace.
Afternoons will be free, allowing time to explore the beaches or visit the
nearby town of Altinkum. Or pehaps even try a turkish bath?... an exhilarating experience not to be missed!
Early evening Yoga and meditation sessions at sunset will take us
into the warm evenings where we can visit the many local bars and
restaurants.
On the last two days of the holiday we will 'break camp' and
adventure on a 2-day culturally and spiritually rich excursion to Pamukkale -
where we will soak in
oyster-shaped thermal pools - renowned since Roman times for their therapeutic
powers.
We will be staying in a 5-star hotel (full board) with a beautiful pool
where a selection of therapeutic and beauty treatments will be available
upon request.
Accommodation - Yoga Holiday in Turkey
Our accommodation will be a new four-bedroom duplex apartment with a
swimming-pool in an area known as Third Beach near Altinkum on the
beautiful Aegean coast.
There are 3 twin rooms and 1 double, two en-suite and one shared bathroom. There is a very large sun-terrace overlooking
olive groves with distant sea-views and magnificent sunsets each evening -
this is where most of our Yoga practice will take place.
The apartment is a 10-minute walk from the beach and also from the nearby
town of Altinkum where there is an abundance of night-life, including the
famous open-air night-club, Medusa.

Costs - Yoga Holiday in Turkey
GBP 420 each, based on 2 people sharing.
This includes airport transfers and the two-day excursion.
Flights are available with British Airways from Gatwick to Izmir, at reasonable prices if booked in advance, although costs can rise as the departure time draws near.
