POST NATAL YOGA COURSE With Ania Caplin

 postnatal Yoga 6 week Course  with Ania Caplin

Every Monday Week commencing JUNE 5th 1.30pm-2.30pm (beside school and bank holidays)

Yoga is a wonderful way to look after the body in the months after birth. It brings a sense of well-being and equilibrium, minimizes tiredness and aches and pains and helps to keep a good posture and to relax. New mums naturally dedicate most of their time and energy to their new babies, and this can lead to tiredness and feeling overwhelmed. Postnatal sessions are an unique time only for the mum to feel good, and to revitalizes.

During postnatal yoga, special attention is brought to re-toning the abdomen and pelvic floor muscles. At the same time practicing mindful breathing with yoga poses, that gently stretch, rebalance, alleviate tension and fatigue from body and mind. A specially designed sequence of postures strengthening the lower back and releasing accumulated tension in the shoulders and upper back, which may be tired from holding, nursing and carrying.

It takes approximately six months for the body to fully recover from pregnancy and childbirth. Wise and careful choice of exercises is essential to keep your body in good shape and health. Postnatal yoga supported by a qualified teacher is one of the safest and most effective way to recover after pregnancy and labor.

It is important to rest initially. The first 6 weeks after birth are a time for bonding with the baby and for the mother to recover. By the end of this time, women might be ready to return to their regular activities, but it is important to listen to what the body is ready to do. Women should be careful and not rush back into usual activities. Consult your GP for advice on when to resume practicing.
