Fire Element Yoga for the Heart and Small Intestine

Summer 5 Elements Workshop

In Fire Element Yoga we open the chest, strengthen & vitalize the upper body & activate the heart centre.  Increase circulation, unwind shoulder tension, reduce excess heat in the body & calm an erratic mind.

Psycho-emotionally illuminating our connection to our hearts innate wisdom, boundless joy, creativity & unconditional love. Inspiring the release of old stuck emotional wounds & protective armouring, & connecting to our capacity for forgiveness, healthy communication, intimacy & bliss.

The workshop is one of a series of five each introducing, in some depth one of the five elements (energies or phases): these are Earth, Fire, Water, Wood and Metal. Throughout the workshops we will focus on the five elements in a holistic way to promote self-healing. In this workshop we will  explore the fire  energy and how it moves through the body using therapeutic yoga working to stimulate and tone and unblock the corresponding organs. We will explore the emotional aspects of this element and the positive and negative impact on our physical body and emotional wellbeing.We will be working with specific yoga methods that correspond with supporting and toning our the heart  and  small intestine releasing and rebalancing blocked energy channels.

 

Schedule

2pm to 3.30pm – yang flowing yoga heart opening sequence building fire and stimulating the heart centre.

3.30  Emotional impact of fire in-balances  and solutions

3.45pm to 5.00pm – Yin  and use of mantra  to balance this element.
