Why is it so good for you?

When our muscles are weak they make compensations for each other which lead to instability and injury. Take your back for instance: if your posture is bad, your lower back and hips will then adjust themselves accordingly which means they're essentially out of whack. Pilates encourages you to think about how you perform everyday movements. It heightens your body awareness that in turn improves your overall agility, flexibility and strength. It helps you ensure your body is working at its optimal level all the time.

Sam Palmby is now offering classes from beginners to intermediate levels:

 

Monday & Thursday Evening classes will now be for Improvers to Intermediates 

Wednesday Evening Class will be for Beginners to Improvers 

 

All of our other Pilates classes will be All Level classes

VERTICAL FUSION PILATES

A little bit about Vertical Fusion Pilates:

 

Vertical Fusion Pilates adds a new dimension to your Pilates classes and helps to refocus your mind on its principals.

The class offers a blend of Body conditioning, Ballet, Yoga and Pilates exercises. It gives an opportunity to develop strength through a total body approach and enhance mobility and flexibility to ensure freedom of movement.

Rods (provided equipment) are used in ‘barre/centre work’ to aid stability and also used to improve exercise execution by enhancing body awareness and understanding.
